Gramma's stays open year round! |
The sense of freedom you get while riding a snowmobile over Minnesota's
snow-covered lands and frozen lakes can be very exhilarating and the Park
Rapids area is a perfect place to come for that experience. There are
several hundred miles in inter-connected and groomed snowmobile trails for
your riding enjoyment in and around the Park Rapids area. Two Inlets
State Forest, Paul Bunyan State Forest, Itasca West Area in Itasca State
Park are all part of the trail system.

Hello Snomobiler's...greetings from the Great White North! It's been about 3 weeks since my last update, and I'm happy to report that the trail conditions have done nothing but improve since my last report. I ran the groomer today on the Heartland Trail from Park Rapids to just outside of Walker, so I have first hand knowledge of exactly how the trails are. I'm here to tell you that the Heartland Trail is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and it is snowing as I am typing this report. I would say that with this latest gift of WHITE GOLD, we have received around 8 inches of fresh snow. I also want to mention that I groomed down to Huntersville on Wednesday of this week, and that trail was in EXCELLENT CONDITION also. As far as getting out to ride, yesterday I was able to ride with a group from Nevis up to Nay Tah Waush. The ride was around a 125 mile round trip, and all the trails were in EXCELLENT CONDITION. So far this is turning out to be a great winter for us. It seems like we receive 1 to 3 inches of snow at least every other day, and then we receive a pretty good dumping from a storm about once a week. As of the time of me typing this, we have at least 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground! This latest storm has hit right in time for the weekend...the trails should be in the best condition they've been in all year! As all of you should know by now, our Modern Log Cabins are located right on the trail...we offer the convenience of riding right from your front door. We also offer our guests the use of a heated shop to work on any brand of sled. My wife and I are both avid sledders who make it a priority to cater to other sledders. We will give you FIRSTHAND information in regards to the latest trail conditions. If you twist my arm, I may even be up for going out for a ride with you, and showing you the best trails! If any one would like to come and ride some of the best trails in the state, and the BEST SNOW in the state, give us a call at 888-272-1240. We still have openings for this weekend!
