MY GOLDEN TOY 38" sired by Realization, sold for over $50,000 dollars in 1960.  In 1952, as a two year old MY GOLDEN TOY won GRAND CHAMPION STALLION honors, at the 1952 OHIO State Fair.  By 1958, foals by MY GOLDEN TOY we selling for $5000.00 as weanlings, one of these stallions was HASHS GOLDEN COMET,   a Golden Palomino, who's photo we have been unable to find after 10 years of searching.   Woodstock North has one grand daughter of My Golden Toy and two great grand daughters of My Golden Toy.

There are only 5 surviving Gold Melody Boy stallions that carries 50% of the Gold Melody Boy bloodlines.  TOMPKINS PACMAN AND TOMPKINS SILVERADO are two of them.  His Sire is JOHNSTONS GOLD BOY by Gold Melody Boy, dam is JOHNSTONS SILVER own daughter of Gold Melody Boy and dam of WITTMAACKS MICKEY MOUSE and full sister to the famous ROAN RANGER. Pacman carries the Ccr double dilute gene and has produced palominos, buckskins and grullos.

Although his papers show unknown background people have always wondered, by looking at his picture, if he could be Gold Melody Boy bred. He has sired many NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

IOWA'S LITTLE KERNEL AMHR 472P,  5-5-72, buckskin, 30.50 The KERNEL was one of the great foundations sires here in the Mid-West, siring such greats as HILLTOPS LITTLE VELVET, HILLTOPS LITTLE VEGAS, and WINKS JANGLES. Although Iowa's Little Kernels pedigree reads unknown, he can be traced back to  STOUTS MISTER PRIDE and STOUTS CARMEL.

 

STOUTS MR. PRIDE I00184, 1963, Sorrel, deceased, 30.50.  sire of the famous DELL TERAS MOON MAN.  The Stouts purchased Mister Prides Dam LIMPY, a Sorrel, from the Branaman Herd and BRANAMANS PEPPERMINT was the sire of Stouts Mister Pride, and the original Red Man, who was owned by Rex Ayres, Peppermint was a loud Red Roan Pinto. Stouts Mister Prides full brothers were the famous RAMUNDO, and Ayers Mini Red Man, aka, Freemans Mini Red Man, aka, McCoys Red Man (Smith McCoy). STOUTS MISTER PRIDE passed away at 39.5 years of age.

HILLTOPS LITTLE DAWN (dam of HILLTOPS LITTLE VELVET), TR IMHR TO64, 5-13-78, 34 inches.  Her sire DEL TERAS LOUSIANA MAN, Sired by DEL TERAS BUTTONS.  Dawns dam was HILLTOPS LITTLE KENO, who was owned by Woodstock North.

 

HILLTOPS LITTLE KENO HILLTOPS LITTLE KENO, fondly remembered as GRANANA to us.  1965-1990 black 32".  She was the grandam of HILLTOPS LITTLE VELVET . KENO is 25 years old on this photo. She was rescued by Shirley Holt, badly foundered, and we took her in and got her back to health and she spent 5 wonderful years with us, and is buried under her favorite oak tree, here at Woodstock North.   We were blessed to be a part of KENOS life.

CHIEFS HERSHEY BAR A03269, 5-31-79, Chestnut Appaloosa, 34 inches. His sire is the incredible Starlites Chief, dam is My Little Margie, A03342,  1971, Solid Bay, 32 inches.

 

STARLITES CHIEF A03344, 3-1-71, Chestnut Appaloosa, 34 inches, first blanketed appaloosa registered with AMHA, his first 8 years were spent as a family pet and he was trained for cart and taught tricks. Starlite Chief has shown against some of the best including ROWDY and DEL TERAS MUCHO MUCHO. He has sired many outstanding appaloosa horses, such as STARLITES CALICO KID, STARLITES HERSHEY BAR, and STARLITES DREAM MAKER.  STARLITES CHIEF passed away on Feb 8, 2003. He was 32 years old.
